About the show.
How can we describe things beyond our understanding?
in brief glimpses and shimmering moments
in ancient echoes reverberating into our present
in joy and grief and in places holding onto both
through paint, print, dance, music, and illustration.
A little bit everywhere was the culminating show of the 2026 Summer Artists-in-Residence at Eucharist Church in Hamilton, ON.
It was a collaborative exhibition; mixing the artists’ respective mediums of dance, visual arts, and music.
The evening began with a dance performance of “one-ing,” choreographed and performed by Skye Rogers. Audience members were then invited to wander & wonder through the gallery space, exploring works by Jackie Huo (“Joyful Noise”, piano and found objects), Catharine Rusby Bell (“Promises”, copper etching & wood cut prints), Reese Bartels (“Fisher of Men” & “El Shaddai”, acrylic on cardboard), and Kanesha Esh (“Where the Light Lands”, stained glass & mixed media). The evening closed with a vocal performance, “Kindred”, written and performed by Jackie Huo.
A little bit everywhere was a space to both engage in and contemplate the sensation of awe; through art-making, collective gathering, and spiritual practice.
